Abandoned hospital in Kanagawa Prefectur, Japan. When buildings are left abandoned, nature slowly over time corrodes and reclaims them for herself. It’s crazy to think that if everyone just left their house that plants would consume it and tear it down until it was rubble in the dirt.

This is amazing.

Famous Times Square Kiss in Color
Black and white version of this photograph by Alfred Eisenstaedt. It was taken on V-J Day in Times Square and was published in Life magazine in 1945.Reddit user mygrapefruit colorized the photo using Photoshop CS 5 on a Wacom tablet. “I found some vintage postcards of Times Square to figure out the color of the buildings and some signs,” she said. “The rest of the colors I guessed by using common sense.”

Well done to the editing of the colours!

There’s a reason I saved this for one of the last things I reblog tonight.
Have you ever seen the sky? It’s beautiful. A billion souls walk under it every single day and don’t even bother to look up and wonder what’s out there. There’s so much we still haven’t learned, so much that the scientists won’t even figure out in your life time and its your job to wonder, to dream, to try and find the mysteries behind all that lies in your path. Next time you’re outside in the middle of the night, look up. Wonder what’s out there.

just had to reblog sdkgjkagd

It’s the reason why I’ve always wanted to do a job which has to do with astronomy. Discover what’s all around us since the earth is not even a little spot in the entire universe. Discover if there is any life. Discover what makes us humans, what’s the sense of our existence.
